To create a unique product, Thierry Gillier and Cecilia Bonström blend styles, gender, and eras, blurring differences and achieving balance. In 1997, Thierry Gilier and Cecilia Bonström founded the fashion brand Zadig&Voltaire in Paris. The designers wanted to give the world affordable luxury with the grunge hints. The inspiration was calm chic and Voltaire.

Designers use premium quality fabrics: high quality cashmere, exclusive knitwear, Japanese satin, its original “blurring” and leather mint using a special technique.

Wrinkled leather was developed exclusively by Zadig & Voltaire. The final look of the piece perfectly symbolizes the Maison’s penchant for balancing opposites – softness and wrinkled effect, creating a falsely neglected look.
