AMI PARIS

Alexandre Mattiussi was born in 1980 and graduated from the Duperré Fashion Design School in Paris.

The name AMI, means “friend” in French and plays on the initials of Alexandre Mattiussi. The brand reflects the special carefree attitude of the French capital, relaxed, authentic, and friendly.

Created in Paris, and inspired by the city, AMI offers stylish and comprehensive wardrobes for men and women that blur the lines between casual and chic.

Traveling between Paris, Milan, and New York, Alexandre Mattiussi gained experience in several fashion houses. In 2011, the designer launched his own brand – AMI.

The Spring-Summer 2023 collection was shown during the final show at the Paris Fashion Week and was called Sacré Cœur (Sacred Heart). It was inspired by Paris and it’s Montmartre area in particular. The collection featured loose 60s blazers, lozenge knits, and leather jackets. The show’s location on the steps of Sacré Coeur, overlooking Paris, reflected this theme. The show was opened by Audrey Tautou, known for playing the main character in the film “Amelie,” which takes place in Montmartre. Designer Alexander Mattiussi said the collection, location and casting are all a tribute to the city he loves and has called home for the past 24 years.
