LUBIAM belongs to the Bianchi family since its founding. The name of the company is a derivative of the founder, Luigi Bianchi, and the town of Mantova in northern Italy. The families fourth generation runs the company now: Edgardo, Giovanni, Gabriele Bianchi and Andrea Benedini.

About the company

1898 .The beginning of Luigi Bianchi tailoring career in the provincial town of Mantova in northern Italy.

1911. Opening of the first LUIDGI BIANCHI tailor store. However, the women’s clothing line was closed over time in order to concentrate all efforts on the production and improvement of the men’s line.

1938. Opening of the new LUIDGI BIANCHI INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION factory.

1939. The birth of the LUBIAM label, as an acronym for LUigi BIAnchi Mantova, once again emphasizing the deep connections with the place of foundation and the time when the history of the company began.

1940-1960s. The opening of a showroom in the center of Milan, the launch of an advertising campaign built around the slogan “Wearing LUBIAM will make you feel like another.”

1970-1980s. The third generation of the Bianchi family comes to the leadership of the company.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the company expanded into world markets. Since then, its product has been represented by “Harrod’s” (London), “Barney’s” (USA), “N.K” (Stockholm), and “F One” (Japan).

2005. Establishment of a youth casual style line, L.B.M. 1911 – A new look at the Italian tradition of tailoring art.

2011. Celebration of 100^th Anniversary of the house of Luigi Bianchi Montova.
